01 · The turn

An apprenticeship that lasted thirty years.

I started in 1991 designing cars and trucks at Tata Motors, then the cell networks that connected India. In America from 1996 the systems got bigger, until the work became the companies themselves. For the last decade I have run the part of M&A that happens after everyone shakes hands: $20 billion of transactions, and the Day 100s nobody wants to own.

Fifty-plus companies. Buy side and sell side. Carve-outs, integrations, take-privates, platform replications. Every one of them on somebody else's balance sheet.

Thirty years operating other people's assets in America is an apprenticeship. Now I am doing it on my own account.

02 · The architecture

One purpose. Many missions.

Scale up is the roof. The missions are how it gets built. Mavengigs runs three, and none of them outranks another.

Mission 01 · Consulting

Deals don't fail at signing. They fail between Day 1 and Day 100.

10x impact· 2x speed· Half the cost

Scale up consulting for private equity firms, Fortune 500 corporate development and high growth companies, driving strategic M&A, accelerated transformation and optimization.

IMOSMOTMOPMO Sign-to-closeDay 1 readinessSynergy capture Carve-outsERP consolidation
  • A pod, not a pyramidSenior people do the work, specialists flex in by the hour, and AI carries the prep. The pod replicates as the work scales, so the economics hold from one workstream to twenty.
  • We have run the physical sideVehicle engineering, national cell network rollouts, and a plant and distribution center stood up inside a $1 billion carve-out. Day 1 is a building that has to ship, not a slide.
  • Humans in the leadAI agents carry research, extraction and drafting. People keep judgement. AI in the loop, not AI out of control.
  • Evidence, not optimismPublished stage gates and weekly reporting. A benefit is not counted until the CFO confirms it. 10x is measured against what you spend with us, not against enterprise value.
  • Identity firstScaling isn't a strategy problem, it's an identity problem. Name the future-state identity, then translate it into actions that scale with coherence.
Mission 02 · Capital

Find mispriced assets. Then re-imagine, re-configure, re-value.

Match investments with opportunities. An independent sponsor platform, deal by deal. I advise and I execute: sourcing, diligence, structuring, and the operating plan after close.

The same operating discipline that fixed other people's portfolio companies, pointed at assets on my own account.

  • Independent sponsorSourcing, diligence and execution, structured deal by deal rather than out of a blind pool.
  • Family officesFamily office strategy and management, as a service and as a partnership.
  • PE without PEBringing PE style management to companies that never took PE investment. The discipline without the ownership change.
  • Where it goesAn independent sponsor platform across US multi-family and hospitality, with a private equity book alongside.
  • Already doneAMLI Residential, a $2.1 billion multi-family take-private. Institutional apartments at scale, on someone else's balance sheet. The next decade is that work on my own.
Mission 03 · Ventures

Backing bold founders. And building our own.

Empowering founders who are building transformative businesses, through funding, mentorship and partnerships, leveraging AI automation. Some we back. Some we build.

  • Mavens LifeProperty and financial technology. Property management first, then ownership. Rent and spend converted into points, points into shares. The residents become owners, and the platform becomes the pipeline.
  • Mavens HealthAI arbitrage in US healthcare. Where the cost of a decision and the cost of making it have come apart.
  • PanmedicalDigital health, India. Founded it, funded it, built it, and run it as CEO. A traditional clinic model turned into a scalable digital ecosystem.

I understand the journey because I'm on it.

Most people you can hire have already arrived. Most people you can relate to haven't started. I am in the middle of it, in public, and that is the only seat you can ask honest questions from.

04 · The Bridge

Built. Building. Where it goes.

Three horizons, stated in the right tense. What is finished is reported as fact. What is under way is reported as it happens. What comes next is stated as intent.

Built · 1996 to 2018

Thirty years, other people's assets

$20 billion of transactions. 50+ companies scaled up. Oracle, then Panvisage Corporation in Illinois: an independent M&A and transformation practice across Fortune 500 and PE-backed clients. The playbooks, the discipline, the scar tissue.

Building · now

The same work, my own account

Mavengigs, a division of Panvisage Inc. Advising and executing on real estate and private equity deals. Family office relationships. Three ventures under way and a podcast starting soon.

05 · The other half

Scale up your life. Same move, smaller scale.

The line says business and life, and it means it. The moves that scale a company are the moves that scale a person: name the identity you are moving to, remove the friction that belongs to the old one, and let the rest compound.

This decade is where thirty years of pattern recognition finally has somewhere of its own to go. I would rather spend it building than protecting.

Engine 01 · Organic

You build the machine

Compounding, capacity, craft. Slower, and it is yours from the first day.

Engine 02 · Inorganic

Or you buy it

Acquire the capability, the asset, the run-rate. Faster, and the risk moves to integration.

  • Growth addsScale multiplies. More hours is growth. A machine that runs without you is scale. The distinction decides which decade you get.
  • Identity firstEvery plateau I have watched a company hit was an identity that had stopped fitting. People are no different.
  • In the openPublished as it happens, not written up after it worked.
06 · The movement

The Scale Up Guys. A podcast, a book, an argument.

Not an expert interviewing experts. I am on the path, publicly, interviewing people further along, on behalf of everyone still climbing. Podcast starting soon. Book due 2027.

The Build

Solo. What I did this month, what worked, what broke, and what it cost.

The Climb

An interview with someone further along. Not "tell me your story" but what would you tell someone standing where I am now?

The Gap

Short. What I still don't know, what I got wrong, who I need to ask. Published before the answer arrives.

The question every guest gets: what do you know now that would have saved me five years?

07 · Work with me

Three missions. Three ways in.

Consulting

A deal is signing and nobody owns Day 100

Integration, carve-out or transformation management for a sponsor, a corporate development team or a portfolio company. Fixed-price assessment, monthly retainer, or fractional specialists. Quick start, quick stop.

We take the upside, not the hours. The base fee covers the work, and above the target we share in the value your CFO confirms.

Brokers, sellers and family offices: if you have US multi-family or hospitality that is mispriced and under-managed, or you want PE style operating discipline without a PE owner, I want to see it.
